I have a number of clients still using MX4 or split between reporting in MX4 and MX6 specifically due to link2pay.
I would also like to suggest Link2Pay
1) creates a customer profile and stores card in vault (currently the only way in MX that does not, which is problematic for some merchants)
2) allows for B2B (Level 2/3) IC app to be installed
3) Enhanced device reporting showing declined vs. approved transactions on a given device (great for keeping track of registrations / ticketing)
4) ability to use inventory items and / or adjust quantity
We are very excited about this enhancement! Now when you log into MX Merchant and go to the payment page you will see a new column there for "Source" this column will show how and where the payments were collected, within MX Merchant.
The source type will show one of the following: Quick Pay, Invoice, Recurring, Order, MX Express App, MX Retail App, or Link2Pay. The great news about the Link2Pay source is that it will also show the name of the link that the payment was made on so if you have a couple make sure the name within the Payment link settings are descriptive enough so you know exactly which link was used.
But we didn't stop there, we also made it so you can now filter on the payment page by that source type. So if you click on the down arrow to the right of the search bar you will see all the different sources I mentioned above that you can filter on to help narrow down your search or to calculate the total collected from each. When you go to export this information the source column will also show there as well!
Please note, this is a new field that we are capturing so the source will only appear for payments that are processed from here on out so you will notice that payments collected prior to this functionality being added will not have this information listed.
I saw this and it came JUST in time for a client that needed it. Thanks!
I would like to reiterate the request to have Link2Pay customers/payments be saved into Customer and Payment Vault. These people are customers of the business otherwise they wouldn't be making a payment to them. This information should be stored so that the merchant can have them in their database to reach out and have future payments
Jeff, thank you for the update. The development team was notified about this issue last week, they went through and sent out a fix on Wednesday of last week. If you are still noticing this problem please reach out to customer service at 800-935-5961 so they can get this documented and routed to the proper team.
Right now, the Payment Success and Fail links are not working. Mine have worked for years on MX4, and also since MX6 was started. But as of a week or so ago, MX is suddenly adding a trailing slash and query string to the Thank you and Fail page links.
Hello Allie,
Great timing, I'm on with Carlos requesting #3 now as I have a client that needs it. Specifically, they need to know which Link2pay was used because they have multiple link2pays for multiple products they offer. Any ETA on that update?
Thank you for your feedback! Link2Pay is available today in MX6. It can be found by going to Settings on the left-hand menu and then scroll to the bottom to click on the tile named "Payment Links" (image of this tile is attached to this comment). If you were a current MX4 or MX5 user, all of your previously created links will show here. Also, the B2B app does work on Link2Pay transactions as long as you have the app installed on MX6. Individual reporting can be found through the User report within MX6, simply click on Reports then User Report.
We are working on incorporating your feedback into this feature such as:
Please add a CAPTCHA field.
I'm adding a vote here to reiterate the need for Link2Pay in MX6. It's a primary selling feature and need for many existing merchants.
