Checkout API Ideas

Would like a feature to be able to delete or make a current customer inactive.

I would like to be able to delete a customer if it was entered by mistake or no longer comes to our facility.   It would also be helpful if we could also be able to archive customers that no longer come here.  This will be an issue in the future with thousands of customers just building up.

Thank you for your request. Good news this is already available in MX Merchant. In order to set a customer as "Inactive" click on customers in the left-hand menu, find the customer you are looking to change the status on and click on their name in the list, on the next screen with all the detail for that customer click on "Edit" in the upper right-hand corner, on the pop-up the change the toggle from "Active" to "Inactive" and then click the "Save" button at the bottom of the screen.

Once you've set a customer to inactive you can now filter them out on the main customer list by clicking the filter (found up at the top right of the screen to the right of the search bar). Mark the status on the filter to Active and then click default at the bottom of the filter.

Unfortunately, we can't let you delete a customer once there's been a payment associated with that customer. However, if the customer has been created and no payments have been made you can delete them by clicking on the same "Edit" button in the upper right and the delete button can be found at the bottom left of the pop-up.

    I hope this helps!
