When a merchant takes a payment through a link2pay, the new receipt they receive does not display the payer's name. Since the merchant will never know who the payment came from, they necessarily have to log in to Mxmerchant.com to get the name instead of the email notification simply providing it for them. So this adds an extra step that the old receipt type addressed.
This could be remedied a few different ways:
1) add payer name to current receipt
2) Add payer name to the email notification (keep the same receipt, include it in the text of the email)
3) Perhaps the most complete and easiest way would be in the "notifications" area, to make the "Payment Link" notification include this information. This way whether its a Link2Pay or a Click2Pay, that info will display to the merchant, rather than it just being an anonymous payment receipt which requires them to log in to MX to correlate the payment to the payer.
We are going to take care of the customer name missing from all of the receipts (customer and merchant) with this ticket: https://ideas.mxmerchant.com/ideas/MXM-I-121. As for the payment notification, we have a request to add customer name to the notifications as well. I am going to merge this with that one https://ideas.mxmerchant.com/ideas/MXM-I-148. This will also help break up these requests. Thank you for your feedback!
